Victoria Grant is a member of the Teme-augama Anishnabai. Her working career began as the first Band administrator for the Temagami First Nation. Since then, has had a varied career path; first as bookkeeper in a law office; a nursery school supervisor; ran a crafts business; office manager in a larger law office; the Coordinator at the Noojimawin Health Authority and currently as the assistant negotiator and office manager for the Negotiations Unit.

Throughout this time, her most important vocation has been and is that of being wife and mother.

Victoria has been an active volunteer all her adult life; was President of the Parent Teachers Association at her children’s school for a number of years; Was a board member on The Trillium Board of Director’s for six years, and was a regional volunteer previous to that; was a board member for the Donwood clinic in Toronto for two years, and left because of travel constraints; was a board member of the Nishnawbe Homes in Toronto; Founder and past Chair of the Temagami Community Foundation and currently a vice chair of the Ontario Health Quality Council.

Victoria’s interests outside of work are crafts and sports.
