Ridgewood Capital Asset Management (formerly Mulvihill Wealth Management) offers segregated portfolio management to individuals, families, foundations, associations and First Nations with a minimum of $1 million of assets available for investment. The firm specializes in a growth style of management for its clients, favouring companies with strong management and long-term sustainable earnings.
Superior client service, as well as strong investment performance, distinguish Ridgewood from other investment counselors. Each client's financial situation and needs are carefully evaluated in terms of investment objectives, time horizons, income requirements, liquidity, tax efficiency and international exposure. Once this evaluation is completed and the client's investment profile is established, then an appropriate asset mix is developed and individual securities are chosen. These securities could include bonds, Canadian, U.S. or international growth equities. This process is just the beginning of Ridgewood’s exemplary client service.
Ridgewood has made a commitment to meet with each client at least twice per year and to maintain contact on a monthly basis. Ridgewood’s Client Service personnel are always available to answer questions between regular meetings. Each senior investment professional is responsible for between 80 – 100 client/family relationships, ensuring that ever client receives the personal attention they demand and deserve.
In addition to regular meetings and monthly contact, Ridgewood clients receive a personal review of their portfolio every quarter, which compares their portfolio's performance against the particular markets in which they are invested. An overview of the economy, interest rates and Ridgewood's outlook for the markets is part of the portfolio review.
Ridgewood is a new company formed by John H. Simpson, CFA, former President of Mulvihill Wealth Management and Paul Meyer, CFA, former Vice President, Equities of Mulvihill Capital Management Inc. Ridgewood has purchased all the former assets of Mulvihill Wealth and the pension assets of Mulvihill Capital. All the relevant staff previously employed by these two divisions have joined Ridgewood, many as equity shareholders. This has allowed for a seamless transition for the clients from Mulvihill to Ridgewood.
