Myers Weinberg LLP is a mid-sized law firm with offices in downtown Winnipeg from where is has served its clients for almost 50 years.  Its 30 lawyers provide a wide range of services in most areas of the law including labour, criminal, family, child and family services, civil litigation and corporate and commercial law, serving unions, individuals, families, small business and First Nations.  A key part of our practice is our work with First Nations and their related organizations.  We act for several First Nations regarding governance, child and family services, education, labour and litigation. We have established a solid reputation with respect to the advancement of Treaty rights through litigation and the Specific Claims process.   In this area, we assist First Nations in the research, assessment, development, submission and litigation/negotiation of claims.  As a claim moves toward resolution, we work with leadership and the First Nation?s financial advisors in the development of a trust to assist the First Nation in achieving its goals in relation to the settlement.
