FREDERICK (RICK) J. BROOKS-HILL, PHD, L.L.D.

Rick was with Phillips Hager & North Investment Management from the Vancouver office for 30 years and our Toronto office for three years. In Toronto, Rick continued his focus on segregated portfolio management and business development. Rick retired in 2005.

Dr. Brooks-Hill is no stranger to Ontario where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1966. Immediately thereafter, he joined Harris and Partners as an analyst.

He received his doctorate in Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School) in 1970 and was appointed to the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of British Columbia that same year. In 1973, he joined Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd. as a portfolio manager. Since that time, he has managed portfolios for numerous pension and endowment clients across the country.
