First Nation Nacho Nyak Dun

Florence Pilon was born and raised in Mayo, Yukon Territory and is a member of
the First Nation Nacho Nyak Dun.

After spending her young life living and working in Whitehorse Yukon; she
returned to live in Mayo with her husband and one child to pursue a more
traditional lifestyle in keeping with her upbringing as a First Nation person.
Florence is now one of the Business Trustees for the First Nation Nacho Nyak Dun who assisted in the development and implementation of both the Investment and Business Trust for the First nation.

Florence was recently the Deputy Chief of the First Nation Nacho Nyak Dun, a
First Nation Government that provides both political and administrative /social
services to its citizens of 580 people. She consulted regularly with First Nation
Government and it’s Executive on a variety of fields to help create solutions to
impacting problems.

Prior to her current position, Florence has held various positions working for the
First Nation Government in Mayo, which includes Youth Coordinator, Status
Registry Administrator, AHOP Administrator, Cultural Camp Coordinator, First
Nation Council and recently the Deputy Chief of the First Nation of Nacho Nyak
Dun, as well as serving on various Committees in a variety of fields. Her intimate understanding of the First Nation Nacho Nyak Dun Constitution and Self Government Agreements make her a valued asset to the First Nation in policy development and program setup and delivery.
