At, 8:15pm Ryan McMahon will perform his hilarious stand up routine.
Ryan McMahon is an Ojibway/Metis Comedian that doesn’t always play by rules. Some say Ryan’s act is unconventional or alternative, but drawing on his background, a degree in Theatre, one of the first ever Native Graduates of the Second City Conservatory, an improv and sketch veteran, a Ryan McMahon show will always be different on any given night.
Ryan has showcased his comedy style all over North America. In 2007 alone, Ryan was a finalist for the Just for Laughs Homegrown contest, he showcased for the NBC Diversity contest, and he will be starring in a sitcom pilot, which is being shopped to the Comedy Network and Showcase. Ryan hosts his own weekly show on NCI-FM (105.5 in Winnipeg, or www.ncifm.com) on Friday night’s as his staple character, Clarence Two Toes. As an educator, Ryan works with youth using an Empowerment Through the Arts model that uses theatre, Anishinaabeworldview, and traditional teachings to empower young people.
